Hi, I am Bubba. two sweet spots (one fretted and one fretless both with EMG;s ) thinking of adding a second pickup for versatility. Wanting a more traditional sound these days for some songs, Would you add a second pickup in front of or behind the sweetspot pickup. Any pickup recommendations? Thanks
On Modulus basses, the traditional is to go behind the sweetspot making it a Turbo SS. Or in my case, someone removed the SS pickup and added a Neck and Bridge pickup

it piqued my interest just thinking tonal possibilities.
also made me wonder with all the magnets pulling on the strings if there's anything negative that can happen tonally or maybe some kind of weird pull on the strings. mind you, i'm thinking three emg 40cs p/u's; so three dual coil pickups. i may be overthinking it but just one of the things that makes me go "hmmmm".
EDIT / UPDATE:
In Store Used Used Modulus M 92 Chrome Red Metallic Electric Bass Guitar
if anyone is looking for a "starter" modulus four-banger, here ya go. not a bad price (as long as there are no issues). love the candy apple red finish.
Well I guess there was another option that I didn't think aboutput another bart quad in the center route! make ace frehley and peter frampton proud!

No open holes anywhere.. Can't remember if I bought it on Ebay or Guitar Center.. About 2 or 3 years ago I thinkThat looks like mine that has three Barts in it just like that. There aren't the remains of three mini toggle switch holes somewhere are there?
if you're looking at an 80's moddy, this one's also available:Nice bass. This one is still hanging out at GC as well: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]
Is this a pre-Q5 from the mid-80's? I like the double J pickups and white finish. Don't know how it would sound, but the nice thing about GC is their 30-day return policy.
I think if you look a couple of posts up, we were all commenting on that F hole Q5. Beautiful bass. I am very blessed with way too much debt at this time. Got to hold out.. Nickles cost too much for me right now! But man, I'm GASing right now for about 10 different basses
