Might be hard to let go, honestly. But I'm just trying to swap the pickups (if you didn't notice them) with the stock Barts in my Q4. I don't really have the money to keep the bass though, if I'm being honest.Man that is beautiful either way. Why sell it?
They are the old Modulus logo Lane Poor pickups! What exactly are those pickups in there?? Modulus logo Pickups?? Do they have screws through them?
God we're such nerds. I like it.
when you do receive it, could you post your findings on the difference between barts and the lane poor's?Might be hard to let go, honestly. i'm addicted to the bart d.c./aggie obp-3 setup but am curious what lane poor's bring to the table.
With the lane poors? Sick! Dibs on the lane poors if you decide to switch to bartsOh, hey guys. Just a heads up, I will soon be acquiring a beautiful '97 Q4 from a fellow TBer. I will probably hang on to it for a while but I plan to sell it, most likely. Obviously you guys here get first dibs. I know there are one or two guys in this thread that have been looking for a Q4 and I plan to let this one go for a very reasonable price.
Damn. Well I paid more than that. Didn't know about that sale. Too cheap, honestly. The seller could've gotten more than that. But either way I will be letting go of this for a very fair price. That q4 went pretty cheap last month on ebay 1997 Modulus Graphite Quantum Q4 4 string bass quilt top - Natural Finish w/HSC | eBay

i think '98 was the first year. either that or '97.When did they start putting truss rods in Quantums? Mine's a '98 (I'm assuming based on the first two digits of the serial number) and it has one, so I guess it's one of the earlier ones.
there's a '97 sixer (nice spalt top btw) on reverb w/o a truss rod (adjustment rod) so, yeah, looks like '97 was the crossover year.Mid 97 i believe. I only say that because there seems to be 97s with and without
