Quick question for Genesis owners: I picked up a Genesis 5 this past weekend, and the owner didn't have the tools necessary to adjust the relief system. When I took the plate off, I quickly learned that the Allen key for my Quantum is significantly smaller than what's needed for the Genesis. The PDF of the manual I found online was also of no assistance. Can someone please confirm for me the size / shape I need to get to make neck relief adjustments on this bass? Thanks!

Idk but you could just take an Allen wrench set and try each size... Seems like an easy problem to solve.

I tried that, but the access is not easy and my Allen wrench sets have straight keys that can't get in at that angle... I'm not above bringing my bass into the hardware store (been there, done that), but if I can avoid it by someone letting me know what size is needed I can just run in and pick it up on my way home from work.

Ah I see. Yea I guess I assume everyone has the L shaped wrenches.

Yeah Pete, she's used but new to me: five string, quilted maple top, maple fingerboard, Bartolini Jazz pickups, and Bartolini 18v preamp. I actually took this one on as a bit of a project bass, so no photos yet - not only was she absolutely filthy (complete with green grime all over the frets), but there's significant corrosion on all the hardware, plenty of sctratches, etc. She's seen some tough years, but rest assured I'm going to return her to greatness.

Thanks man - I ended up just buying a set of L-shaped allen keys that afternoon so I could get it done... the neck is perfect now!

Heya Mod Mob! I have a 2009 4-string Flea Bass with the stock Seymour Duncan pickup.

I'm thinking of replacing the SD with a Lane Poor legacy -- did anyone here do it? If so, how did you find the change?

I found this video on YouTube that does an A/B, but it sounds pretty distorted due to the recording... From what I can hear the LP has a bit more bite and (more importantly for my tastes) a more 3D low end.

I know it's hard to describe tonal changes, but if you have any info, please post. Thanks!
