4 string turbo...probably not too many of those floating around!

I used to own a sweet Q4 turbo w/orange flame maple top, you can find pics of it earlier in this thread. It had a 2-tek bridge too, which made it incredible.

It played better than any Modulus I've ever tried but I sold it last year though. TBH, I'm not a fan of the "Turbo" pickup placement. It would be excellent for a fretless bass because of the bridge pup and the ss pup being such good placements for that "mwah" sound, but it just doesn't have much depth, for lack of a neck pickup. I much prefer the standard Quantum pickup placement. There's a reason most basses have their pickups in that general format.

However if you are one of those people who are looking for that burpy, growly sound (like the Warwick basses with two pickups crammed together near the bridge) turbos are for you. I'd imagine a lot of metal heads would dig it.

Either way, that one on ebay is overpriced. Mine had a factory installed 2-tek bridge and I bought a brand new modulus hardcase for it, and I think I let it go for $1900.

Nope, mine was flamed, not quilted. And it had the 2-tek bridge. Plus I upgraded the pickups. And mine was a '97.

And I sold mine for way less than this guy is asking. He's nuts.

Anyone tried La Bella white nylon tape wounds on their Modulus? I'm thinking about trying some out on my Q6 but I'm not sure they would even fit. Thoughts?

Jeez, I did NOT need to see that... we ARE headed to Amsterdam this weekend though, shipping would be a lot cheaper...

Since we're posting and talking about overpriced, I love these bases, but they go for about half this... maybe after 6 months I'll send him an offer... it DOES look to be in great shape though...

I have never seen one either...

(Edit) in the manual, it only mentions and gives specs for 4 and 5 string models

and USUALLY a great bargain... more power to the seller if he can get that, but as someone who is on the lookout for these, that price is super high...

Street is around 1250-1500 average resale. Mines got soap bars and flame top but this is very nice.

I sold all mine except 2.. I prefer the Quantum basses. However, my Genesis 5 string fretless is pretty amazing..

No, you'll be fine. I've had several moddys with D-tuners, including pretruss ones. Never an issue.

Too much for that bass, since you also have to pay international shipping. The seller doesn't even know what his bass is made out of lol. It just says "top: exotic wood". He also seems to think chechen fingerboards were super rare. I don't like to deal with guys who think more highly of their instrument than it deserves.

It's a nice bass though.

That bass was just sold on here and before that it was on Craigslist for almost a year for like $1500.
