2003 Modulus VJ4 Fretless - bought used from good friend Tony Puleo, sold last year on Reverb as I wasn't playing fretless much...

2004 Q5 Sienna - My "Jenny", love this bass more then words can describe. Bought new from Matt's Music in Weymouth, MA in 2004- sold a Pedulla, Ibanez SR 1305 Paduk and Carvin Ash 5 string just to get her, she was the Holy Grail.
2007 - Q5 Modulus 25th Anniversary Edition semi-hollow bass. Obtained from local friend and TB'er. Gigged with her last Sat and gigging with her tomorrow night too!

Just curious - would any Mobsters have potential interest in gently used Modulus / Gotoh GB70 chrome tuning keys? After completing a few upgrades, I'm left with two 4-string sets that are in great shape... I certainly wouldn't mind hanging on to them, but if someone in the group has a need I'd also be happy to give them a second life.

I apologize if I've posted this before, but there seems to be some disagreement about the story of what bass was used on The Chain recording. I have never asked John McVie, but Rick Turner, who did some hanging out at the Plant when they were recording Rumours, used to tell us that it was played on the first SS graphite-necked prototype McVie eventually bought. I have checked with others who heard this directly from Rick too. Like I say, I wasn't there (in the recording studio). The graphite necked bass in the original post is not the same one I'm talking about.

Sorry, but that ain't the bass used on the Chain. The Alembic used on "The Chain" was the "Invalid Link Removed" View attachment 2516433

Edit: So apparently there is some ambiguity: The Graphite-necked one was photographed for the cover of the Album "The Chain"

But what we hear on that signature bassline of the song is definitely the "continuously fretted" Series I
