Modulus Mob

i went and checked out the 4 string green q4 at the guitar center in algonquin. Its nice. Definitely in FAIR condition. Sounds like a modulus. The pickup blend knob is reversed. Played it through a markbass 12 combo. Do those usually sound like they have a lot of baked in compression>?

I really want a Blackstone Q5... Am willing to trade this, which I purchased from Talkbass. It plays beautifully and the Delanos sound amazing. Perfect intonation and resonance everywhere. Played it with a Phish tribute band for three years. I just really love the look of the Blackstone!!

"This is a rare 1994 Modulus Q5 with a little celebrity status. This was the March of 1994 Bass Player Magazine Modulus Dream bass giveaway Q5.I have the magazine that I will throw in that has Jack Bruce and Chris Squire on the cover. It has the Beautiful redish flame top with matching tinted neck. The pickups and preamp were upgraded to Delano humbuckers and Delano 2 band pre and blows away the original setup. Its in great condition with minor players wear here and there.Neck is dead straight and no fretwear. Also this is a no truss neck but it hasn't budged in 20 years and don't expect it too.Weight is 9.5 lbs and nut 1.75. Own a piece of Bass Player Mag and Modulus history with this beautiful 5er and one of a kind Q5.Comes with the original Modulus HSC."

I was thinking about enhancing our little list we have going on here by adding serial numbers to it. We can track to see how they ordered them (serial number wise) and how they did on production and what not.. I do not have any issues with posting my serial numbers on my basses. Well the ones that have them I guess. 2 do not.

WTB: a reasonably priced TBX5.
define reasonably priced
i would say anywhere in the neighborhood of $3k is 'reasonably priced' in my opinion. of course the market dictates cost on any given day. yeah, that blue-green tbx5 sold higher than i thought it would. there was that tbx6 with the cocobolo top from a few months ago that was listed for a little over $3k. that sold in less than a day.

i'm hoping either of these two make it to the market someday...

That Blackstone looks amazing... I've been eyeing it for a couple of weeks, but I'm curious if my bass is worth more than $2000 cuz it's a rarity with the tinted neck and all, or if that Blackstone's price should come down. Anyways, thanks for the reply!
