Modulus Mob

Hey all. Sorry to beat a dead horse with my issues. Haven’t made it to Nashville to have my bass plek’d plus I’m trying one more local option. Also because of the lockdown.

I’m starting to think my neck has some warping. There’s a lot of old posts about modulus necks warping sometimes and people suggested Graphite Guitar Systems to fix them? Is he around?

The tech I visited in Nashville that couldn’t work it out for me, who was suggested by modulus, also kept saying I had an ebony fingerboard and pointed at the bottom of the neck. That just is not true.

but at the bottom of my neck, my question is that is this an indication that my fingerboard has shrank? The layer/lines at the base of the neck.

I know pictures aren’t the greatest indicator. But I am moving the truss rod counter clockwise and this seems to be the max now I can attain. The truss rod is not moving very freely and I have to put more effort in to it than I would like so I’m not comfortable with cranking it further?

What are you trying to accomplish? You shouldn’t have to adjust the truss rod that much to make adjustments... this guy does all my set ups, and these videos were very helpful for me to understand the whole process

your bridge saddles are super high, youre not helping yourself at all with them like that have you tried lowering the saddles? every modulus ive ever owned I never had to touch a truss rod. All adjustments were made in the saddles

wouldn’t this lower the action? The action is pretty low currently, or it was before I made some truss rod tweaks
