Just make sure you’re twisting the rod in the right direction.

If I was you I would stop while I’m ahead. Tennessee is supposed to start re-opening Monday (not Nashville yet, but...) so there should be some music stores around that may be able to help ypu, but even if you have to wait 2 more weeks, it’s better than irreparably damaging the neck of your bass... that’s a LOT of space under those bridge saddles and those strings to be having buzz...Update: the truss rod is not wanting to move either way nicely.

In case anyone’s looking to sell

Matt put a post on fb for you, we're all keepin an eye out!
I've got '96 q5 with barts that I could part with. No truss though.

Wow, thank you Geoff! Your presence here reminds me of Lee Sklar in his recent from home youtube vids. Muchas Gracias! It may be '89, but is an older model. Q5SP, not an SPX or SPi, which came later. Stars Guitars bridge.

I completely agreeI have to say the weight of your presence on this board is not lost on me. You are part of what makes TalkBass a fantastic site. Thank you for checking in here, man!
Really? I've used Nickel Lo-Riders for over a decade on my relief-adjustment less SST with no issues. What happened with yours?Thank you for the offer, unfortunately I had bad luck with DR Lo-Riders on a non-truss rod Modulus before. Those strings have some extra tension and don't really work well on non-truss rod models and I'm wedded to those strings.

yeah, it just looks like the neck was left outside in heavy humidity or was wrapped in a damp blanket.saw this on reverb. I also think its from a shop in new orleans before it made its way to tenessee. ITs the finish it looks like heat or water got underneath it, you could strip the varnish and re do it and it should be ok. but if its the same bass from nola that i saw the rest of the screws are rusted out as well
