Modulus Mob

Well, she showed up today!!!!

This neck is WIDE:eek: But I love it! I can't wait til my gigs this weekend :hyper:! I got a new rig too, so that's gonna make this a fun weekend! I'll try to get some better pics because this one sucks and the store pics I posted don't do it justice! It's beautiful! Even the gf said "Wow! I think that's my favorite one of yours"! LOL!

Wow, that's a beauty!

Does anyone have recordings of their Modulus? I'd love to hear some different samples of the various models with the different electronic combinations. It would really be great to hear some with different after-market setups too.

If you can post a clip, please state what model it is and what electronics you have (maybe even the woods). I've got two Quantums that sound totally different and it would be interesting to hear what other combinations sound like.

Thanks.

Modulus Quantum 5, 2 bartolini pickups (starts with neck pup, then bridge pup, then both pups), also a 2 bands bartolini NTBT preamp. D'addario 45-140 strings, quite dead

I posted this in the "Modulus TBX" thread, but I figured it might be a good idea to post here, too:

I emailed Tony at Planet Bass(Super guy! I bought my MTD 535-24 from him a while ago!)about the new TBX's. I asked him how much they'd be, if I could get a 5 w/19mm spacing(he said yes!), and when they'd be available? As far as pricing, he said that base retail is gonna be about $8,300+$400 for the matching headstock, so street price should be $7,100-$7,400. It'll have a bookmatched top, Bart P/Us & electronics, and pickup switches. He didn't say when they'd be available, so it may be an "order one and we'll see" deal. Hmm...This may have made my recent Q5W purchase a bad idea! Oh well, I wanna see one 1st anyway.

Hey guys,

I as wondering if any of you modulus gurus can tell me what model this is or any details on it. All I have is that pic. I know its an 89, possibly a Genesis. But doing some research it looks pretty different from a Genesis...

Sorry for the screwed up image. I cropped out the background and there is a junk of the bass missing cause it was covered up in the pic.

Thanks

Genesi didn't come out till 1996 so that's out. It has a Quantamish body and headstock...put me down for "older Quantam with J pickups (some of the earlier stuff had Js/PJs). 35" scale?

I'm pretty sure it is an old Quantam, too early to be a Genesis. Old Quantams did have J pups so it that's my opinion.
