Modulus Mob

I recently picked up a '00 Genesis 5.
The neck feels amazing to me. Way better that my Carvin LB 75. I am so in love with this Bass. The eq is full of options. I understand it's the same Bart pre that's in the Q series. I have 10 Basses and this one will get most of my playing time.
Dig that maple board!

Help

Got a fretless TBX and I want to get a new piezo bridge. Current one is rather ancient and one of the saddles is broken/peizo crackles.
I'm thinking of Ghost equipped
5 String Bass GHOST Loaded Hipshot A Style Bridge (Select Finish)

The bridge size in the install pdf is 105MM and my current bridge is 82mm. What on earth?
Can anyone point me to a piezo that will fit this opening?

that link is to a 19mm spacing bridge. you need a bridge in the 17mm-18mm range. my tbx5's have schaller bridges that do 17.5mm (adjustable spacing) and are dead perfect.

if you put a bridge with 19mm spacing on your tbx5, your 'b' string and 'g' string will be hanging precariously off the fretboard.

are there any other 5-string bass bridge options with piezo's in the saddles?

That's what I'm asking. I looked a couple years ago and there were a few.

ooof. looks like the bridge is also countersunk into the body. that could limit the options even more.

doing a quick google search, here's one shop that does the whole install and setup:

RMC Piezo Acoustic Upgrade for Bass-Wilkinson/Hipshot style bridges

also checked reverb and found this:

Piezo 5 String Bass Bridge Pickup - Black | Reverb

i'm sure a bit more digging might turn up a few more options.

good luck!

Yeah I don't know what the original owner did. Thanks. I need to search. Might have to buy a hipshot and then get the saddles from Ghost.

could be that there was another bridge installed (would explain the gaps around the current one).

it looks like a gotoh bridge. checked their website but they don't offer bass bridges with piezos in the saddles.

maybe @GeoffGould could offer his valued opinion on this particular situation...
