totally unserious individualhello mob, i have a question. has anyone ordered a modulus bass from planetbass recently? i sent mails to tony but no reply...
Pretty cool with just the 1 MM pickup. My good people: I've got an early to mid-80s Modulus Graphite BassStar, white body, no truss rod, BartoliniView attachment 5454672 View attachment 5454673 View attachment 5454674 pickup, active electronics, with no serial number. I have no idea what model, nor what it's worth. Thoughts?
That is cool...
here's the reverb listing:Maybe... but the one I saw had a downsized body and a single pickup.
What's the story on the one you sent the photo of? Know the year?
here's the reverb listing:

don't see a serial number on the back of the headstock so not sure of the manufacture year. maybe @GeoffGould or @donk can chime in if they remember this particular piece.
@Rumblefisher had a similar experience recently. I wonder if he got any response.
Great news!Hey Mod Mob!
Happy update. I messaged Joe Perman at [email protected] and...
He was not only kind enough to reply, he kindly took my order request for a Revolite 4 as well!
If you follow him on Instagram, he posts pictures and videos of recent builds, and they look fantastic!
Since speaking with Joe and being on the list for a Revolite, we have spoken a couple more times. Joe has been very attentive, and as or more communicative as I could have hoped. He's very busy building, so I don't want to set the expectation that he lives connected to a computer, but he has emailed and called me several times to discuss/finalize specifications. I have to say, I feel that Joe is as much or more of a "bass nerd" as us, and I say that with love! I mean to say that he is as into the detail oriented bits that turn even a great bass into an EXCEPTIONAL one, and I am very excited to post whenever my Revolite is built.
He did give me permission to post his email here, and for anyone looking for a new Modulus, the first step is to email Joe![]()
Great news!
Is Tony no longer involved?
Thanks. What’s the current wait time?I think he still owns the Mod name if I’m not mistaken (which I might be) however orders are not going through him at this time…only through Joe.
oh my, great news! thank you so much! gotta contact Joe right away!Hey Mod Mob!

heheh... just join us and have mr. gould build you one. currently a six-month wait. quite a plethora of options to pick and choose from. plus, even as busy as he can get, geoff has been gracious with his time online when questions or comments arise...Wow, that's terrific news about Joe. I have 17 custom build forms filled out with the specs. I'll just put them into one PDF file and send it to him.
j/k - I wish.
