Modulus Mob

This is the only bass I own and the only bass I have ever purchased. Arguably I waited to long, but have been very pleased. The more research I did, the more picky I became. As you modulus owners know, the Quantum delivers phenomenally. My Q6 is gorgeous with the flame maple top and timeliness all black hardware. I love the tone. It is solid, deep, growly, and punchy all at the same time. I usually run the pick-up balance slightly to the bridge pickup for fingerstyle, and balanced with both pickups for an incredible slap tone. I am fortunate to have this bass! Can I get a Modulus Mob number? Thanks! IMG_0504.JPG

I second that....mmmmmmmm Chechen...

I have never had the priveledge to play a Modulus with a wooden board. Can anyone describe the difference? Also, is it possible to upgrade to a wooden fingerboard or would it be best to sell my ownright and buy a different bass (this would be a hard thing for me to do).

Great looking Q6! The only bass you'll ever need. (until GAS gets ya!) :D

Ahhhh...how right and insightful you are! I have been gassing for a 4 string. I may have found the answer to GAS (try before you buy). I keep going to music stores and playing basses and am almost always disappointed that none of the basses have that magical quality. Then I go home an play my Q6 and love it! That's the sound in my head that I have been looking for. I just would like to find it in a 34 inch scale and a 4 string model. As long as I am getting another bass, I keep thinking I should get something with a wood board and more vintage looking. The search continues...or maybe I'll just have 1 horse in the stable...

I'd like a number please!

Been lurking for a while, seems like a great community!

Here is my Modulus Sonic Hammer. It originally had a Bart pickup but around 2004 I found a Lane Poor and dropped it in. With the prices they have been going for lately and the fact that I have a little one on the way I sold it on eBay and am in the process of putting a Nordstrand MM4.2 in it now with a series/parallel push pull pot.

i got screwed over years ago by a seller named tim ***** on ebay for a beautiful 4 string TBX. I won the auction, got a money order right away, woke up the next morning to an email saying that he wasnt sure I wanted it so he relisted it and it sold instantly. TOtal BS as there was no other completed listing but my own.

I still think about that bass all the time acttually. It was a 4 string TBX with EMGs and with a swamp ash back and dark red finish on the body and the next.

The bass that got away.

Its a shame because the guy is a TBer and Im pretty sure he has the bass that he screwed me over on.
