Modulus Mob

It just sucks that their customer service is a joke because their products are so great. Can't tell you how many times I've almost dumped all of my Modulus to switch to a different brand just because of it.

I have thought about selling my Q5 too but love the bass. What about their website? 2012 and it hasn't been updated (to my knowledge) in 4 years? What's that all about? I think their FB page is, at least, a good start.

Been playing nothing but Modulus for the past 10 years...over that ten years I have emailed and or called at least 15 times with various questions. How many responses or call backs have I gotten? NONE

Argh

I have experienced this frustration with their customer service in the past. I actually had it worked out with someone from Modulus to purchase a pickup and preamp setup for a Q5 I used to own. When I contacted them again to arrange payment, no one would return my calls or emails.

Such fantastic instruments and such crappy service. You would think that they could increase their sales of basses, accessories and parts greatly if they just had one or two people in charge of customer service instead of "whoever answers the phone".

Correct Dustin, they are wood. My current custom build is a Maple neck with Wenge finger board and Wenge stripe in the back. They also install graphite rods in addition to the truss rod for extra support.

Truth be told, the reason I got my Modulus is I got tired of my other (non Roscoe) necks warping here in New England. The graphite is as solid as it gets.

Hello Music has a pretty good deal on the Vertex today though few hundred bucks cheaper than everywhere else.

With that said I was searching for threads on this bass trying to find some reviews ... I have heard good things about it but no personal experience

...I did hear Phil Lesh and Flea used it, that has to count for something

thats actually pretty cheap! not my style though

I have no idea what market they were going after when they came up with the Vertex. I would love to get one of the new P Basses though.

I do know that JP and AP get on TB (or used to)....they have posted in the Modulus Mob threads before....so I am sure that they will read (or have read) the opinion of a lot of Modulus users. We aren't talking $200 basses here.....each person that has a Modulus has spent at least $1,000 for the bass (used) and those who bought new from $3000-6,000 probably. I have had my Modulus for 8 years (used) and will never sell it unless it is to feed my family...and even then we might go hungry for a few more days, but I can definitely understand concerns of everyone here.

That said, they do have an awesome product.....

I mean....they guys at Source Audio are on TB every day listening to their patrons and addressing any issues or concerns. That, to me, says a TON about a company and they have been awesome...and their effects are awesome. Modulus, take note.
