He should just come up with a B string riff and play that additionally on all B string equipt basses. Solves the problem without creating a new one. However, Im not sure everyone will want to resend him basses to do that. Not to mention, he does it for free, I suppose we should be grateful its there at all. Thanks Todd

He plays the same riffs so that you can get a meaningful comparison by hearing all the basses playing the same identical thing, through the same identical rig with the same identical settings.

I understand that and it makes good sense, hearing different instruments in the same, very controlled situations has great value. I think to perspective buyers hearing the low B string played would also be very valuable, especially considering one of the major factors in choosing a 5+ string instrument is the sound quality if the low B. If the idea is to give a "taste" of what an bass sounds like, why leave out one of the most critical parts? Would it be to difficult to add a "5er riff" to the ERB's that are being sampled?
