Moe.

Well, MOe left me underwhelmed, but had a killer light show. enough said.

Gov't mule blew me away. What a bad ass show! Andy Hess was on fire he was amazing. Do yourself a favor next time they come around your town and see them.
You dont hear rock and roll like this anymore.
It was a mother****er, the lights go down, the backdrop with there logo came down and the three of them just started wailing, there was something about it.....

anybody seeing them this time around? the newer songs are sounding really good.

and speaking of derhak, his tone is off the hook. he's running a mesa powerhouse as well as an epifani 6x10. definitely the best i've heard him. too bad their sound guy is leaving.

Old thread revival. I'm a *huge* moe. and Derhak fan. Saw them this past Sunday in Providence. Great show, but I have to say the sound (including Rob's bass tone) sounded better at the Orpheum in Boston, several months earlier.

Looks to me like Rob's running a 2x15 and a 2x12, driven by Mesa amps. Also, these days he's playing a sweet looking Ritter.

I agree re the previous mention of Rob's "effortless" style; he's a beautifully gifted and tasteful player, chops to spare, but he is so serene in action. I just got a copy of the Bonaroo 2004 video, and they play a ferocious "Rebubula"; Rob is slapping like mad on this one (on a Pedulla), but again he is so relaxed. Also recommended is their "Live at the Fillmore" concert DVD, featuring the Ritter.

I've seen moe. twice. The first time was at the Tweeter Center in MA maybe 4 years ago, they opened for Claypool's Frog Brigade. I had never heard of them, but liked jam bands so I dug it. I then saw them last year in Boston (I can't recall the venue: it was the big open amphitheater down by the water).

AND! I have tickets to your New Year's Eve show this year at Radio City!!!

Timmy Tucker is a great tune, but if I had to pick 1 moe. song, I'd go with Okay Alright every time :D

Moe is hands down my favorite band. I like robs playing but hate his tone. Too muddy and undefined for me.

if you reall want to see moe you have to go to moe.down, they are amazing and play 6 sets over 3 days. mm I have been twice. every year it gets better.
