Mono Neon..Brilliant eccentric youtube genius?

Right on Bro'! I think the Dude's Amazing! I'm floored everytime I watch one of his videos, the kid is great, but you know, no matter who you are, there are ALWAYS gonna be "Haters" Hell, even Michael Jackson had haters, and he was the Greatest
Huh, I thought that was Ali. ;)

Yeah, I LOVE his tone; I read that he uses EBS gear/amps.

Yeah he uses EBS gear,I hooked him up with them when he was 17...I gave him one of my rigs for his 18th birthday. He loves the gear but can get his sound on anything!

I found him via his "Flashlight" vid. I dig the green spacesuit, but was really impressed with his smooth technique. I feel for the guy, having come upon a dream and breakthrough gig with Prince, only to lose him, a personal hero - its been a brutal year in that way.
I find players like him inspiring.

I don't know what in particular makes me think this, but my mind wanders and wonders what it might have been like to stick him in a room with Miles and Eno. Oh, hell, why not some Sun Ra while we're dreaming.
I know what you mean, though I was thinking Joe Satriani and Zappa, or maybe Fripp.

He is just unreal. When I first saw a clip of him going in on a newly commissioned microtonal bass, I had one of those "maybe I should just hang it up" moments. I got past it but can't get over the sounds this cat can put out.

I think we are all capable of achieving that level of skill he displays, but I also think it just comes easier to some people than others. We all have something that we are capable of learning very quickly. I learned and became fluent in Spanish in 3 months for my wife.
