Moon landing. Real or Fake?

In many ways I think the future of space exploration will be robotic. Putting 'man' in space is very expensive and becoming less and less necessary. Advances in robotic technology is allowing Mars and other planets to be explored today without the risk and cost incurred with maned space flight. Launch a probe Mr. Data. :)

I think Apollo 13 is proof that we had landed on the moon.

A couple of years ago I saw a show on the "Fake Moon Landing" and if I remember correctly one of the big arguments was the radiation that the astronauts would have been exposed to. I think Apollo 13 busts that myth. We all know that the astronauts of Apollo 13 did not set foot on the moon but they came close. They had to slingshot their spacecraft around the moon to return to the Earth.

Surely this could be faked, but who would fake a failed moon landing?

I can understand the reasons for faking the original moon landing, I just don't think it's plausible at all.

I saw a TV show on the moon landings once. Totally believed they were faked. Checked the internet and had all my thoughts confirmed. The single light source, radiation, funny movements and shadows pointing all different ways.

Then I saw another TV show which just slammed every point that had been previously made. Just because you are told that "With a single light source, all the shadows should be parallel" does not make it true. It and every other argument made on the first Fake Landings show I saw were proved wrong without a doubt.

Until I see the next show which rebutts all the rebutts ;)

I am a pretty firm believer in the moon landings but I can also appreciate that this is a well executed conspiracy theory.

Well I can't buy that they're fake for a couple of reasons. One is that the Soviets never claimed that they were (or at least not vocally). One would think that if some guys sitting in their houses looking at old pictures could deduce that the moon landings were faked, the the US's opponent in the space race would have been able to figure it out.

Another are the retroreflectors put on the moon's surface for the Lunar laser ranging experiment by Apollo 11, 14 and 15.

I could go on, but it is kind of ridiculous.

I think the Buzz Aldrin video is a hoax set up by the government to make you think he's still a strong able bodied man. If you look closely, the guy with the boom mic doesn't even flinch or react in any way to the guy getting punched. Very suspicious. It's as if he knew it was going to happen. Also people are just walking by as if nothing is happening at all. Would people watch two people arguing? Isn't that human nature? I call it a set up or great CGI.

*End sarcasm.

Real, no doubt! I watched it on TV, Cronkite announced it. TV, Cronkite. How could you doubt? Besides, the photos looking back at the earth....those were definitly real, I KNOW that for a fact. I took similar photos....in my mind....from the back seat of a red El Dorado during the break between the second and third sets whilst Connie Condolli and Tommy Newsom showed me how to roll a....cigarette one handed while listening to Lou Rawls.:p
