Most beautiful bass you've ever seen?

Yesterday, I was looking around for 90's Fender jazz basses and I spotted this gorgeous one:

I was absolutely breathtaken! I'm a huge sucker for gold hardware, block inlays and matching headstocks, so I have maaaajor GAS for this one.
It's a 1996 MIJ limited edition signature for The Ventures.
Only 150 of these babies were made, so I'm incredibly jealous of any lucky person who managed to buy one.

To me, this is the most beautiful bass I've ever seen.

My 2 newest Warrior basses are probably as pretty as any basses I've seen in person. They sound and play even better than they look. One is a Buckeye Burl Private Reserve wood and the Spalted Maple with Killer Birdseye Fretboard.

The Pedulla Nuance that sold here yesterday is pretty up there. Supremely tasteful modern elegance. Wish I'd been able to buy it. Fortunately, this is Talkbass, so there's a decent chance it'll pop up again down the road. :^D

1. Sean Hurley Signature Bass - Fender Precision in Charcoal Frost Metallic w/tort guard
2. Any 1970s Fender Precision in Mocha

I'm not really into the vintage scene, but about a decade ago, I had the opportunity to look at (and touch!) an authentic sunburst '60 Stack-Knob Fender Jazz with just the "right amount" of relic wear. It wasn't for sale, nor would I ever consider paying that kind of money for a bass. But I recall saying to myself at the time: "Wow...THIS is what it's all about." Today, I'm fortunate enough to own several very nice basses, but that particular Jazz was undoubtedly the most beautiful bass I've ever seen in person.

I have a weakness for "Coffee table" instruments, so, some of the most beautiful basses I ever seen are made by a luthier here in Argentina, Daniel Fernandez. They sound and look superb!
