This is in bass humor because I want to keep it lighthearted and fun. I have noticed, this morning alone, multiple posts about hot button issues that inevitably open a huge can of worms with riots in the streets, burning buildings, and the collapse of society as we know it ensuing. Example, the classic fender vs musicman: civil war or the INFAMOUS best bass for metal, punk, or postmodern classical progressive jazz gaelic fusion with Uncle Dave on the uilleann pipes. The new one unknown to me was pike electronics vs Darkglass. We've all seen THAT GUY post some rant about how the fender elite, or stingray, or ric, or [insert your favorite brand here] he bought was an overpriced POS. Then Fenderboy1986 or MMRay511 comes swinging in from the moral high ground with his lasso of superiority (apologies if that is actually someones TB tag no offense intended) and begins WWIII. So why is it that we cant just get along? Poll for kicks. Also carrots.

I don’t really care about that stuff so if I do post something on one of those topics it’s kind of a whatever type thing. Ive owned fenders and musicmans. I’ve spent over a grand on Darkglass pedals and love them. I’ve owned 4 string, 5 string, 6 string, 7string, and fretless basses. I use tubes in the studio but not at shows. I prefer to make my own sandwiches(how lazy can people be?) and I prefer carrots. Lol :)

Good day sir

Outside of politics, the tone wood debates seem to get most heated. Though maybe I’m just not reading the right threads.
That one’s somewhat legit to me. I’ve yet to play a basswood body bass I liked and I’ve tried a bunch ranging from peavey imports to musicman bongos. Alder, ash, and bubinga are all good by me though. My dingwall is your typical alder body maple neck and it sounds rad.

That Jack on your bass. Input or output?

I've never understood the controversy over this one. Even though most people call it an input jack(me included), it's clearly an output. I will see if I can start calling it what is actually is and sound less dumb. After all, I need all the help I can get.
