How many times have you read on TB that ANY bass can be used in ANY setting. Well I'm here to say, I don't think so.
So how about it TBers - name the genre or venue and post a pic of a totally inappropriate bass for that setting. It might be based on looks or shape or graphics or sound or whatever - be creative!
I'll start with a Praise and Worship setting.

I did a butterscotch blonde '51 P build that I play with one of those thin leather straps - suppose it would look out of place for a New Wave revival.
I used this bass on a 9-week run of the truly awful stage musical "The Phantom of the Opry" in late 1991, which is supposed to take place in Nashville in the 1930s, and featured the orchestra on stage complete with jeans and bolo ties:

The theater went out of business before the end of the run, although I and my bass disavow any responsibility for that.

In this case, I'd give the bass a pass on any responsibility. I think it lies in everything said from "…Phantom of the Opry" and on. :***:
