Say what you will -Fastway
+5 for the Moby Grape , my older brother played them all the time in the 60'sObscure:
B-A-B-Y
Carla Thomas - One of the Fillies in the Stax stable
Murder in my Heart for the Judge
Moby Grape
Not obscure but mostly forgotten:
Invalid Link Removed
Human Beinz (Which is their cover of the refrain of the original Isley Bros. song of the same name)
So, we're doing a cover of a cover
Killing Floor
Electric Flag
To tell ya how old this song is, the beginning of the song has a snippet of the current president speaking,
Lyndon B. Johnson
Man in a box - Alice In Chains
We do Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da by The Beatles and Laid by James. May not be the most obscure, but I don't see a ton of bands doing them. Hell I didn't even see a Beatles cover band do Ob-La-Di.
We used to do Smoke from a Distant Fire. Had a singer who just nailed it.
Or Velvet Underground. The Ocean - not your typical Zep cover.
You should think about it. The only cover bands that get more than a walk away from me are the ones that go the obscurity route. I can't be the only one. Or am I?We don't do obscure covers, as we don't see the point.
"Holy Muscle of Love" by Alice Cooper.
