Right now my "cheap" cort elrick rb5 with aguilar super singles and ob-3 preamp. Just put fresh hipshot tuners on it and elixir strings

I've owned so many basses over my 30+ years of playing, but my (CIJ) Geddy stands out too. Damn, the neck is sooooo nice!For my playing, the Fender USA Geddy Lee Jazz.
You and I both brother. #8 and #10 necks make you forget you are playing a 34" scale. For now, I'll make do with this and the one in my avatar (LB100):

My favorite bass neck is my Bass Collection custom JZ made by Momose. The neck has an oil finish over maple with an ebony fingerboard and perfect frets. I pick it up and never want to put it down.

Probably my Peavey T-20. Beautiful fast neck that almost plays itself with my '74 Ripper coming in a very close second.
The best playing bass I have ever played was my Uncles '56 Fender P-bass. It had been modified over the years, as it was his gig bass for over 40 years, and I am not sure what all was done to it. There was just something about the way it felt to play.
For my own basses, I would have to say my Carvin SB5000 is my most playable. It just simply feels right in my hands. That said, for the gigs (none recently), I typically have the p-bass as that is what people want.

I too have to say, the first time I ever played a Roscoe 5 string bass (Bass Emporium in Austin, TX) many years ago, I was hooked and amazed at how easy it was to play the bass in terms of the neck, feel, tone, set up, etc... Such incredible basses. I have other favorites but the Roscoe "Feel" is unique. *Note- my "Friend" Jimmy concurs.
My Gibson Grabber. Frets were filed down before I got it, we've done many gigs and recordings together. We go to together like a jar Nutella and a fat kid. Neck is so straight, with plenty of room for action adjustment... set low and then raised ever so slightly to deal with an aggressive play... Works like a P for every situation that everyone talks about but talks to me in such a different way. Always felt lucky to find "my" bass and sound so easily!
It's my 2005 Jazz bass forsure. I've had it for about a year after about a one year search for something to use that is different from my P bass.
During an Internet search, I just happened upon Carter Vintage Instruments in Nashville. Called them up, told them what I was looking for (Fender American Jazz Bass). They had one that was within my budget. As soon as I saw it I wanted it but I had played about a trillion other J's that just didn't feel or sound right, but after I played this one I knew it was it. I also knew that since I liked it I'd better buy it NOW or someone else would and I'd be kicking myself for not getting it. I didn't know what the S1 switch was for but the sales guy was going on and on about it after he figured it out, and it's a great addition to add bottom.
It's super easy to play and I can get just about any tone out of it.

I would say the same ..... I have about 25 basses in my current stable and probably 15-20 that have come and gone. My Roscoe LG3000 is probably my best player ...fits me like a glove!
For me, it's my ancient Ibanez RB-800. Not much to look at, but feels great and has a very unique tone that I've only heard from other 800s, and the aluminum fret markers are kinda cool too. She turns 30 this year!
