Most under rated 210 IYO

I'm just wondering (yes i searched). In your opinion, what is the most under rated 210 that you have come across? I'm talking in terms of low end, portability and power handling. Not the high-priced cab of the week here on Talkbass. But a solid or great performing 210 that most people overlook. Whats on the top of your list of hidden gems?

I really like the TC Electronics RC210.

Inexpensive, fairly light and seem to sound great with any head (I have used Aguilar, Genz Benz, Ampeg, GK, MB, TC, Mesa, Traynor, etc).

Yes I've heard a lot about that cab here on TB. It seems to be a good cab, but I'm looking for something that does not have a mega thread or has been on the TB gear dojoure list (which TC cabs were at one time)

This is, of course, biased, but my Marshall DBS 7210 is easily one of the best sounding cabs I heard. Big and heavy for a 210 and not the lowest voiced cab either, but it can shake the walls if needed.

I've always felt that the Mesa/Boogie PH210 never got the love it deserved. Yeah, it's bigger than some of the competition, but it sounds bigger, too (and since it uses neo-based drivers, it's not ridiculously heavy).

Another 2x10 that doesn't get a ton of attention, but is very high on my list, is the Glockenklang Duo.

The EA-NL210, Bergantino AE210/HS210/HD210 and TecAmp S210 are all quite good, but perhaps not enough of a "sleeper" brand for you. :smug:

If you have a lot of watts and don't mind the weight, the Wayne Jones 2x10 is darned impressive, too.

EV B-210. I used to have two of them, what a great full, deep tone. EV rarely advertised them so they pretty much were under the radar along with it's siblings, the B-410 and B-115. Not the lightest 210 made but one of the best sounding, IMO.

Hartke 2.5 XL. I believe it is the best cabinet they have made. Strange that it was discontinued. Very deep and loud enough to handle a medium sized gig alone. Probably not a big seller but it should have been. Not to be confused with the 210 xl, a very different animal.

Acme B2 without a doubt! I own four but only ever need a pair in a vertical stack. :)

Ooh, good call! Acme cabs are a little power hungry, but power is cheap and plentiful nowadays, and Acmes are an incredible bang for the buck. Very even and balanced sounding.

Bam! Another great call! I remember when MikeBass brought one of these down to a GTG I had in my basement. It really blew me away, and it definitely held its own in the company of a number of higher priced cabs. That's a darned good cab.
