Bassists are always treated as underrated, but a load of guitarists don't get the credit they deserve too! Who do you think? My choice goes to Billie Joe Armstrong. Listen to his solos in the Green Day cover of My Generation. Woah! (He has one in the middle and one at the end.)

Plus, the p*ssed off guy in the solo is what makes that cover happen!

Ya, Pat Thrall is a monster, talk about an underrated band, when he was with Pat Travers that was a monster band with a hugely underrated Mars Cowlings on bass. I saw them open for Rush in 78 or 79, absolutely killed.

Yes indeed!
Mars is one of my favorite bassplayers. The "Go For What You Know" album is one of the best live rock albums ever recorded, the band was a their peak and they were absolutely on fire on that recording.

The guitar player in one of my bands used to hang out and jam with Pat Thrall back in the day.
