Thankyou , I appreciate it , actually what the manager of that particular mgr store did was break
a few pretty serious laws by shipping stolen merchandise . I didn't even care about that really ,
the lies is what pissed me off the most.
I scared the Sh** outta that IDIOT LIAR .
About an hour after I told him he was gonna regret it ,
I got an email from him saying " We refunded your money it's back in your account"
AND. " KEEP THE BASS. "
I spent about 300+ dollars to get it repaired by an authorized Ibanez repair dude
I didn't get the bass back for like 7 - 8 mths.
I should've also made MGR pay for the repairs.
But I just wanted to play the damn thing .
serial number is Still exactly the same as it looked when I got it. Half gone.,
the Wrong bridge was on the bass when I got it
That's what caused the most damage.

To start out, have not seen this bass in person, just the online listing, but it looks look a super deal...
USA Made G&L L2000 dressed in a nice Cherry Sunburst finish for $389.99 plus $90 shipping unless you can pick it up in Greensboro, NC. Note that this is not a "Tribute" model, it is a Fullerton, CA made bass, or so it states on the headstock. Listing states some player scratches and a couple of small ships (with picture), but not structural, near the output jack.

If it is in the shape that they claim, it looks like a winner. When I purchase stuff from MGR I ask a lot of questions over the phone, including if they will take it back if it there are problems upon arrival. Doing this I have had pretty good look with this chain, but some policies may vary from store to store as they are individually run franchises.

Proceed with caution. I mentioned this one about four months ago in a different thread (should have used this MusicGoRound thread in hindsight) and someone on here had talked to the local MusicGoRound. Also, even in February, it had already been there a while. Stuff priced low like this doesn't sit unless there are issues:

(But by all means if a TBer can pick it up and it's awesome or can be made awesome, all the better.)

The MGR store in Greensboro has this...

A Supro Pocket bass from the early 60's (or maybe late 50's). These are very short scale, about the size of a regular guitar and actually have two pickups, the regular magnetic one and a piezo strip within the bridge. The controls are a master volume and a pan between the two, I think. These are mahogany (I think) with several wide holes in the back to make it "semi hollow". These do not have a truss rod, but it looks like the neck is in pretty good shape. I believe Buddy Guy used to use one of these when he did bass tracks on Chess recordings back in the day. $649 plus $90 shipping is actually pretty good for what these usually go for.

I just bought one of these from GC for more and LOVE the head. It's amazing.
This came up and if I wanted another, I'd be on this because it's clean and less money.

If you want power and function and reliability in a head, but don't mind a bit of weight, this is a killer amp.

What would happen if Gibson were to take the Firebird components and put them on a traditional shaped bass? How about this Gibson IV from 1987...

These are pretty cool basses, complete with Thunderbird pickups, and this one looks to be in very good condition being that it is 25 years old. Hard case is included, though not sure if it is original (I am pretty sure the original case was a rectangular wood case. This is at the Cockeysville, MD MGR store for $1200 plus shipping. Is it a super deal, probably not, but not bad for a Gibson of that age. I think they only made these in black, red, white and natural gloss, and this one is one of the nicest ones I have seen (though only in pictures, haven't seen it in person.)
