Music Man Custom Design Experience coming!

24 months no interest. I have used Affirm several times on EBMM's website with no complaints. Given current interest rates, it is definitely worth taking advantage of the free financing.

Ditto; I've always gotten 0% interest for 18 or 24 month options. Might as well borrow someone else's money for free if they're offering. I used it for two Sterling orders, and will probably use it for a Stingray with the Slo Special neck once they officially open the doors on the CDE.

Is customer service generally pretty good for this company? I've emailed to inquire about the cactus colour and gotten no response. It's hard to purchase something for nearly 3K USD sight unseen and there's not even a proper photo of the colour...

I still have it sitting in my cart, but until I can see a real world photo, it seems to risky to pull the trigger on, especially since you cannot cancel.

They've always been very responsive with me, rarely taking longer than a few days to respond.

Hey all. Over on the EBMM forum someone by the name of Dargin from EBMM posted that the Design Experience is going live tomorrow morning at 10am Pacific.

You may have seen a Dargie Delight in the past - that was down to Dargin coming up with a custom finish for himself, and it turning so many heads that they decided to offer it as a limited run, and then later offer it periodically for most of their instruments.

I'm pretty sure if he says it's going live tomorrow, we can believe it.

Given I have to sell my Stambaugh fretless 5 to get my fretless 5hh, I am dreading this while I can't wait.

Anyone manage to get a peek at fretless neck options when it was up? I like a dot or line at every fret, but I think they only do the dots at the usual or lined. Thinking if I have an option for a really light colored line I may actually get a lined fretless, it'd be my first.

I saw them and there was an option for a lined or unlined pau ferro fingerboard. No other woods were available. I didn't select the lined fingerboard option when specifying the fingerboard and did not get to see the larger version of the fingerboard on the image the website generates, but the small icon for a lined fingerboard had obvious lines. I don't think there was an option to check the positioning of the dots on the side of the fingerboard.

It's disappointing that some of the options that appeared to be available on their display wall aren't on here: I don't see any bound neck options. I also really wish that they offered ebony fretboards for fretless.

But it's still a really cool idea that I hope works out and stays around! If I had the scratch, I'd love to get an all blacked out black sparkle fretless.

I see some great new sparkles....but none that I like better than my current ones. Frozen Berry Pearl, Flamingo Pearl Burst, Sea Foam Sparkle, Lavender Sparkle ( which is lighter than Amethyst Sparkle). Gold, silver, and black sparkle are also there.

Matching Headstock not available on all finishes will be disappointing for some.

Just reloaded the direct link from upthread and unfortunately, I see no Hot Honey option and none of the colors look particularly great in the 3d preview. Disappointed, but my wallet is breathing a sigh of relief.

I saw a few I liked, but my bill ran about 3200.

Trouble is, I may take a spot in a band that about 8-10 gigs would pay for it. It may be a gig that requires 5-strings.

Translation: it might happen for me.

Hard to get a feel for the color. Cool Grey Pearl.
