I mentioned this earlier about my injury and inquiring if I can get it made with a lighter piece of wood. If I can, I just might be stupid and pull the trigger. Wouldn't be ready for a few months, so that gives me time to sell the Stambaugh.

This is the closest to what I was gassing for but the trans oxblood looks darker than the trans red colour I really wanted.

Really disappointing to see that there’s no option for a bound neck. With that said, I’m going to keep playing around with it. The prices are a lot more reasonable than I expected, but I unfortunately won’t take the plunge unless I sell a bass or two first, so we’ll see what happens

Does anyone here have an older "Lava Pearl" MM? I want to get magma pearl, but I want to make sure it's not the same thing, as the Lava's a bit too red for me.

It's disappointing that some of the options that appeared to be available on their display wall aren't on here: I don't see any bound neck options. I also really wish that they offered ebony fretboards for fretless.

But it's still a really cool idea that I hope works out and stays around! If I had the scratch, I'd love to get an all blacked out black sparkle fretless.

The video from NAMM of their announcement only showed blocks, no binding.

Mine has them where the frets would be as you'd expect for a fretless. It's an unlined fretless if that helps any.

I was hoping they'd bring back Firemist Silver as a color option. I always liked the look of those with the roasted maple board, white pickguard and white pickup.

Yeah understood, it's a new colour for 2024, but it's a bit strange to not have samples at all. Would you get an expensive custom instrument in a colour you cannot even see except from a 3D render?

No I probably wouldn’t. But I don’t have 3000 dollars either so I’ve gotta figure that out first.

Just reloaded the direct link from upthread and unfortunately, I see no Hot Honey option and none of the colors look particularly great in the 3d preview. Disappointed, but my wallet is breathing a sigh of relief.

That's what's kind of frustrating for me, as well. I want that Magma Pearl, but what's on the render looks more like what I want than what's on the sample at bottom.

I get this is new and unreleased officially still, but not having even a basic real world photo of every new colour just seems like such a trivial marketing misstep to me. I held off on ordering simply for that reason, and I'm seeing lots of similar comments about not trusting the random configuration tool with what the colour actually looks like.

I'm glad they did, as it's not as red as I imagined. Still torn, though, as there are so many nice ones. I've always been a natural wood guy, so this is scary for me...

Contact page, right on the FAQ. I've messaged them twice today and heard back within an hour or so, both times.

The fact they ship internationally is very interesting. Well, I’m getting a Mod Shop P-Bass first (say what you like I won’t listen ), but who knows, a Stingray later?
