Music Man Custom Design Experience coming!

FWIW I did get a reply from EBMM, the green is nothing like the 3D render sadly, so I guess it's back to looking for a used Old Smoothie or just waiting to see if they ever add the colour I want eventually.

They were very kind to send this, they said it's so new they don't have any instruments actually completed in this shade yet, but this is from their paint supplier.

That's more or less what they sent me for Magma Pearl. How hard would it be to just include an accurate, well-lit photo of these samples?

But how are they holding up to actual traveling use? Can i stack it in a van or truck?

Something to note is that there are no backpack type straps on the EBMM mono gig bags, if that matters to you. I've personally gotten used to having that option with a gig bag so the fact that the EBMM monos don't have them is a significant deterrent for me. If there are no backpack straps on the gig bag I might as well just use a HSC.

Good point. My regular MONOs have the straps. When I got the Mono that came with my new 5HH, I just sold it to the guy who bought my 5h. Between the other monos and the hardcases I have, it was just another thing taking up space, plus I love having the straps.

What is that?

A flight case for an oven-ready chicken?

Another update from the EBMM CS team via my email comms with them, for folks who didn't see the colours or options they wanted...

"We do plan to make more colors and options available in the future!
As to what those will be, we have no current plans. But we will pass your request on to our design team for future consideration."

I was a little disappointed that the only fretless 5 I could build had a pao ferro fingerboard.
The translucent purple looked more solid than translucent.
Otherwise, $3100 was cheaper than I thought it would be.
I don't think they have all the bugs worked out of the software yet

Looking at their website, I like both the Cactus Green and the Magma Pearl (along with others). I was playing around with different options for the Magma Pearl and I have to say, it looks pretty sweet!
