I didn’t know these even existed until I saw this, really cool line, I’d love one.

I like how EB create these reissues of things that never were.

Came out in 2010 I believe but didn't last too long from what I understand.

The smaller profile neck and small frets with 7.5 radius is just magical for me. The pick up and pre amp really have a great sound and good variety of tone when you really start to play with the knobs.

Had a white Classic Stingray when they first came out but never really geled with it. Fast forward to 2023 I found this used Classic Series Sterling in mint green at GC for $1100 and instantly feel in love with it. Great neck, feel and sound. The birds eye maple neck just kills. Had to add the joe dart knobs for effect, thought they looked cooler than the stock silver. Amazing find. This was the first nice bass I really wanted (but couldn't afford at the time). Never got one. But I would have 100% bought this too.

Ahh gotcha- Didn't catch it on the images of a Classic that I was considering last week; thanks for the confirmation! Ended up pulling the trigger on it and should be here Thursday

Thanks! Yeah I’m really diggin it so far. I’m a bit vexed with the preamp- Not sure where the center detent would be on this two band preamp vs the standard Sterling three band preamp; Not sure if this two band is all boost and no cut vs if there is a neutral setting, but I do like what I’m hearing when I play around with it regardless. Have spent some time searching online but haven’t found it yet, so going to keep digging around the internet and TB to confirm.

I was expecting to be less of a fan of the gloss neck but I’m liking it more than expected. I’m a sucker for the oil/gunstock wax finish, but this it still smooth and enjoyable. Great stuff!

I’ve seen black, white, trans white, sunburst, honeyburst, natural, surf green, sonic blue, coral red.

The pre is the same as classic SR and similar to the pre EBMM preamps.
