May I have a number, please? My new Stingray5 fretless, picked it up yesterday after a subjectively endless 18 weeks waiting for it to be built and shipped to UK. Have to say it sounds great and plays really well right out of the box. Excellent quality throughout, I'm delighted with it.

I'll post pics asap, but I was recording in a studio on Sunday and saw a MM Stingray bass that if the story is authentic is pretty historic. It was supposedly a prototype MM Stingray (sunburst) made for Carol Kaye given to her by Leo Fender. She complained it was neck/hs heavy so they shaved the headstock smaller and drilled out the tuning peg clovers. (3 holes in each). Even then, she never warmed up to it and later had it for sale at a garage sale she was part of. The studio owner bought it for a song - another buyer offered more but she chose to sell it to him once she learned he ran a studio and that he would have it there and earn money with its use. I didn't want to make a geek-fuss over his story so I'll assume it is legit. Stranger things have happened. My drummer shot pics of me playing it ('f' this type-shrinking tb glitch!) so pics soon...
...and I just took possession of this beaut from TB's own Bassvirtuoso via the classifieds. This one is getting A LOT of play time
Today,I managed to get this Orange sparkle mist Stingray 4H. It slipped through my hands a few months ago. I saw it on the Classifieds again couple weeks ago,and managed to work a trade deal,after I saw it posted for sale,or trade. Glad I was able to get it. Should be here by Friday. Here are a couple,of pictures from previous owner. Will try to post more pictures,after it gets here. Plus,I would like to reclaim my Club#542,if that would be okay?
My 1993 2 band. Bought this from a nice guy in the Classifieds. Plays like a dream and feels fantastic. The early to mid 90's were definitely some magic years for Stingray's.
Found this purple gal in the local pawnshop a couple of days after the passing of His Royal Badness. Three visits and one spousal begging session later, brought her home. No case, but sixteen years old and almost totally clean. Only flaws are a couple of divots in the headstock finish. Otherwise, perfect. And check out those knobs!
Finally got here,Friday,and was out of town,and the wife signed for it,while I was gone. Put a new set of strings on today,nickel wound light,Curt Mangan style. Previous owner sent them when we traded. Never heard of them,but sound great.Took the tuners off,soaked and cleaned all the tuners,with jewelry cleaner. Here are a couple of my pictures,after got it cleaned up a bit.
