Music Man StingRay Club | PART FIVE

Nice, is that PG black or tort. I zoomed in but cant tell on my phone, wont have real computer access for a while.

Looks sweet just the same.
Funny you asked that. When I posted the pics, I thought, "Whoa! That pick guard looks black in these pics!" So nothing wrong with your phone! Just a very average old digital camera on my end. But no, it's brown tort. Looks great in person.

I'm really enjoying this bass. I've had two single H 'Rays over the years, but this is my first HH. A lot of you guys will probably think this is blasphemy :D, but personally, I much prefer the HH. I'm really glad I pulled the trigger on this one...

I always was a jazz bass type player but few days ago i became a proud owner of a 2007 HS stingray!

LOL - that's great. I generally dont like solid colors as much, but looked at it at first and thought, wow - that would look great with a tort guard.

No pickup blasphemy here. My SR5 is a HH bass. Its awesome. Its got Stingray punch, or I can solo the neck and get the P-bass vibe. with the 5 way switch and 3 band EQ there isnt much you cant do with it tone wise, just dont get caught with a dead battery.

Hey Club MM -

I have a question for owners of older MM Stingrays.

I picked up a 79 SR and Mo is refretting / truing the neck. Was the original fret size on the 79 SRs vintage (small) ? Medium jumbo? Did they vary?

Any and all info would be helpful.

Thanks TB'ers

I think officially, it's "Pacific Blueburst", but yeah, it is a gorgeous finish, especially in good lighting! Thank you!
Sumaru that's a Sweet looking bass for sure.

I dont know if I have a number for this club or not but if there's anyone out there who hands out numbers but if so that would be cool.
Here's mine.

No one's doing numbers for Musicman anything.
At one time it was fivestringgecko.
Serenity in the knowledge you own one of the best.
