They are, on the used market. They seem to sell for around $500 when they show up. EBMM stopped making them several years ago. The current Sterling by MusicMan SUB series is not the same.

Well, count me in. I posted a thread in the hot deals section a few weeks ago that GC is selling their 2013 'Rays at a substantial discount. So.......
I went back in this week and they still had a sunburst Stingray H hanging up on the wall, looking lonely at $1052, so I adopted her

If you're on the fence, I suggest hopping over!

Worth reapplying every year or so too - there's instructions on the Music Man site. I did mine the other day and it feels amazing again.

I think mine may actually be older than 2013. My pup has ears around the screw holes, and it looks like the newer pups have the ramp-style screw-surrounds. It doesn't bother me either way because I love the bass, but when did EBMM change the pup cover on the Stingray?

As usual, my delay on updating numbers, sorry for the delay everyone.

You know, if someone that's more active in this thread wants to take over the keeping of the numbers, I'd trade numbers with them... Between craziness at work and music stuff that's really taken off this summer (both good things), I've found that I'm not that active on TB anymore, with the exception of a specific few threads. PM me if you'd be willing to take over club organization and I'll get you the full list. I certainly don't have a problem continuing, but as you guys have seen... sometimes I'm not the most timely with updates.

You're doing a great job with it Ross - hoping you'll stick at it. I'm sure people can wait to be assigned a number a little longer if need be. To me the best things about these threads is being able to show your instruments and discuss, rather than just getting a number and not coming back.

I'm a happy new owner of my first Stingray (4H, posted above). It's so different sounding than my P basses, yet the neck feels familiar. A lot of different TB'ers have commented on the great build quality of their basses, and mine falls right in line with that. Mine was a 2013-stock that was sold at closeout at GC, and I couldn't be happier. A slight lowering of the action was all that needed to be done, and it's been inspiring me to play it. No loose or stripped screws, no odd buzzes that need to be sorted, no sharp fret edges, nothing! And on a 1 1/2-year-old bass, to boot! Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating any other brand of bass, and I absolutely love my 2 Fenders, but I'm glad that I was able to pick this tone monster up. MM has always been outside of my price range, so I'm glad I had the opportunity to snag one new for a slightly more than used price.

I couldn't agree more. My new MM (and my first) is blowing me away! I am very happy with my PDN Neptune Blue SR4H. The roasted maple neck is so smooth and plays like butter!

Beautiful! I never cared for the other PDN color, seemed too flashy, but this is awesome! Where'd you get it? Also, what's that purple bass in your avatar my friend?

Got this at Bass Central. They have one more like it. My purple bass is a Sadowsky Standard 4!
