I'm considering a Classic BFR in ivory white and need some feedback from the community here.

What are your thoughts on the BFR line? This would be an over the phone transaction, which is always a little dicey, I know... But is there anything special about the BFR series other than the super-roasted, super birdseye maple necks? I've been wanting to get into a Classic Stingray for a while now, but not sure this is the way.

Bring on the comments!

WOW that looks like the wood is sitting under shimmering water that your looking through to see the wood. That is crazy nice looking.

I saw it today and it just caught my attention and I needed to have it! Always wanted a MM Stingray. I remember seeing one back in '78 a Rootbeer with maple neck. I told a friend and he bought it. Actually, he still has it. It took me this long to own one. But, worth the wait!

Pulled the trigger on this bad boy today. PDN Neptune Blue Stingray 4H with African Mahogany Body and Roasted Birdseye Maple Neck/Board. Should arrive next week!

Oh my goodness, that is probably one of the most beautiful basses I have ever seen. I would buy that in a heartbeat.

the perfect bass had some for H-S which is what mine is, other places only had single H or HH
How do you find the HS? I've got a H and a HH, and I must admit, while I like the HH (perfect when you need lots of versatility on a gig), the extra H DOES (as the EBMM rep told me - not exactly doing much to "sell" the product!) get in the way for slapping. Does the S do that too?

I haven't tried one, the incoming bass is the HS. My existing SR5 is an HH so I wanted something different and between the H / HS the HS seemed like it would be a lot more interesting with the single coil.
