What REALLY comes to mind is the great community over at the Ernie Ball Forum and the unimaginable hours I've spent playing my beloved stingray over the past 12 years. The frets have no meat left! Ahhh, but I could never get rid of her. It dawned on me after 9 years with only that one bass, I'm so brainwashed that I don't know if I'll ever truly feel at home with another neck. Granted, I play some other nice basses to get other sounds but that wax/oil feel is just about as good as it gets.
