Musicians on stage wearing black clothes...

As a heavy metal/punk dude entering his 50th year on the planet, I am so sick of black clothing. ANYTHING but all black. Regardless of genre, the all-black stage uniform is so boring. Too many people assume that a splash of color is going to make them look bad somehow. Instead, we have 10,000 bands looking like a bunch of bikers or waiters.

I noticed once during a small club concert, that the female vocalist wore white - she was perfectly visible in stage light and seemed to be cool and at the front, while all other musicians wore black and seemed to disappear in the background.

This band is fronted by 4 lovely ladies, so the gents (bass, drums, guitar) wear black to showcase the women.

Side man: wear black (or black and white)
Front man: wear something flashy if ya want

This isn't new; I've been told "black and white" for stage attire since i was a kid. Obvs it's looser for pop/rock, but it won't look out of place for any kind of gig.
