I have a Big Al 4 in Candy Red with a FULL ROSEWOOD neck coming in, Tell me I'm going to love it

How could you not love that? Was that the one at Perfect Bass?

I agree, but I am buying it "blindly" just on reputation.

I do expect to love it, especially, with the rosewood neck.

The Rosewood neck is key, not a big fan of these with maple... that said I have an offer out on a Big Al 4 SSS with a maple neck, go figure!

The 1st one I had the buttons stuck, the tone control seemed narrow (didn't do much) & the G string was fairly weak... plus not a fan of the pickup closest to the neck.

I had a lemon though for sure... but I'm willing to try one more time.

Got ya....However, this is a full rosewood neck as and a rosewood board. I was led to believe that full rosewood necks on ernie balls are rare?

Yup rare they are! Rosewood is better on this... as well as the Sterling since they are already so aggressive

Yes the all rosewood necks are rare and highly sought after. They offered the rosewood neck as a special order option for a limited time last year.

I've now sold both of my Big Al 5 basses (SSS + H). They were replaced by a Sterling 5 HH. The Big Al is a great bass, but the Sterling HH's versatility with its 5-way pickup switch is just ultimately what I wanted.

I learned on the EBMM forum that one of our brothers, Erin, passed away after a long battle with cancer. He loved the BA and owned several in unique colors. A true ambassador for the bass. RIP Erin
