Musicman Big Al Club

Had my big al 5 refinished. I can't wait for the final touches! Hardware is being converted to all black with a matching neck and headstock

Wow - that's quite a statement ! Love those colour combinations. Will he get a clear coat?? Very good job ! Curious to see this assembled.
I'll keep my tobacco finish - admittedly conservative andtoo chicken

These basses are killer and impossible to find used. There was one that sat in my local guitar center for what seemed like years before it actually sold. It's a shame they never really caught on like the Albert Lee guitars did. I own one and they're perfect guitars.

Here are some nicer pics of my BigAl SSS5

Did you get your project moving?? Curious of the bass fully assembled :)

the painty guy said I'm still a few weeks out on account of needing multiple clear coat and sanding cycles…. I'll be sure to give an update once I have more to update with. Then when I get it back, it goes to my tech to be reassembled, fitted with black hardware (all musicman OEM) and set up. I'll post progress photos as I get them!
