MusicMan Cravings

To each their own, but I find P's boring and tedious. They just don't bring any excitement sound wise to me. I don't care for the necks either. Plus a Stingray cuts through like a buzzsaw. But, hey you be you and I'll be me That's why it's great we have so much choice.
Is it weird that this exchange makes me want to get another MM, despite my thoughts?

I go in phases between my P, J, EB-3, and Ray. I actually dug out my Ray this weekend and it has me wondering why I don't play it more. It's a beast!

Well, just knowing that after inventing the P-bass and J-bass, Leo Fender didn't just retire, he designed the Stingray bass. Though, by the terms of agreement, CBS made him sit out of the music design game for a whole 10-years before he could release the MM Stingray. ... I've never met a Stingray I didn't like, I can't always say that about Fender's, but it's to find the one that's the right one for you. ... I've owned a few and right now a 2000 Trans-Orange Stingray, that's exceptional, is in my regular rotation.

Bought this gorgeous '93 from a great guy here on TB. My first EBMM Stingray. Some say quality wise the early 90's Stingray's are hard to beat. I've never owned a bass easier to play or setup. I removed the mute pads and have them stored away. I didn't want to leave them on there to get beat up. I also own a SBMM Ray34 that I had my luthier paint from a natural wood to an awesome Blue Burst with a matching headstock.

You know what else is cool on your bass? That awesome matte bwb pickguard that they later started making in gloss. I custom ordered a matte bwb for my USA SUB. Awesome 90s vibe.
