Nice, rosewood not common. Is it ash or poplar?

Are you guys still taking applications for the club? I just got this and I dont understand why this model is not more popular. Feels great and has a lot of great sounds. The build is incredible, it has a huge piece of rosewood, and looks really cool.

Yes, i got it like that, but i know originally came with the compensated nut. I'm trying to find if MM sells the compensated nut.

Yes they sell replacement nuts. Just phone up customer service.

Mine had the compensated one too.

It's an old sabre bass pre-eb, the nut is period correct i think.

I don't think so. This is an EBMM Classic Sabre. You can see that the slot is wider to accomodate the compensated nut, but has been filled in. Besides, it has a modern bridge, a truss rod adjuster wheel and no visible pole pieces on the pickups.

Touché! I missed that - the headstock decal is pretty small when viewed on a phone.

It's ash - so it's not very poplar.

Can I get a number? I want in. All these years as a TB'er, wasn't aware of this club! All original 1979 Sabre (except those felt fuzzy things near bridge) and have OHSC that is beat to hell. Some road rash and even that Sklar white producer's switch. I really don't think it does anything. Bought this at long closed awesome bass shop,Firstbass, in Denver around 1996.

I think poplar. Ash was usually in nat finish
