I am in the process of purchasing a new bass and its eaither goin got be a musicman stingray classic or the 2012 model i know the difference is the 2012 model comes with a 3 band eq and an active to passive pull tab but what would you all suggest?

Musicman stingray classic or 2012 model? help?

Get the 2012. More comfortable to play, more versitile, and you will probably prefer the 2012's neck even though I don't.
I second that. Get the 2012. I've been playing Stingrays for a while now and every time I pick up a Classic it's the finish on the neck that makes me put it down.

The only one that does active/passive switching is the Big Al.
I think the all white PDN Ltd Ray had the active/passive switching, but it is a 2band eq.
