I posted these photos in another thread but surely they belong here! I just bought a black and maple lefty SR4 this weekend and I am loving the color combo. The bass plays like butter and actually does have a different vibe and tone then my rosewood board SR4. The collection is growing! I see a Stingray 4 Fretless in my eventual future!

HAHA, I am just jealous of your bounty!
I like how you have several models, I never uderstand people that have 6 basses of the same exact model!

I just picked this up from fellow Tb'r mgauge. It's nice to have a four banger again in the form of a beautiful Stingray. I'm lovin it!

I'm the same way. My Mom and the school tried to change me. So I do some stuff lefty and some stuff righty. Talk about screwed up. But I write left handed. I am grateful that I do play bass right handed. OR maybe that's why my bass playing is so bad...maybe I really should be playing left handed?:hmm: Maybe that's a good excuse for sloppy playing.:hiding:

I started at age 10 with a left handed guitar that was siting in a local shop. I often wonder if i had just started with a right handed guitar if I could have learned to play right handed. No way I could change now but it would be interesting to know if it makes no difference when you're starting out.

I have always had a tough time finding basses but it is getting better with some manufacturerers. Companies like Yamaha and Ibanez are god awful for offering anything decent in left handed options.

Fender does a reasonable job but there are only a few models available and only in one or two options. With the entire Squire line there is only one VM jazz available in one color only.

Ernie Ball charges no extra fees for lefty, their cases fit either right or left handed basses and every color is available in left handed models. Some of their newest models are not offered left handed but its understandable. They offer Ray4's, Ray5.s Sterlings and Bongo 4 and 5's left handed in every color. Very fair in my opinion!

Crabby, you just gotta go custom!!! Get a southpaw custom that lefties on Talkbass would DROOL over! hehehe I can speak from experience, Chris Stambaugh does STUNNING work. :bassist:

I almost always try lefty basses when I see them at a local shop... It's kind of a reality check, in a way. And I always thought it would be cool to be ambi-bass-terous. :D
