    Does not affect playability?

Sure it does, I wouldn't play it.

Looks ok to me? I see maybe a little chip out of the binding, but nothing more than normal play wear.

That is horrible. Who would do that!?!?

  6. Damn right it affects the playability of the bass. Who would do such a thing? I wouldn't even pay $60 for that. (And play it, that is.)

Strange, it doesn't look any uglier than a normal Rick to me.

Must have been some wacked-out manic depressive mofo.
  12. I wouldn't pay $600, but I'd maybe do $250-$300 shipped. I honestly think a lot of us TB-ers would. If it's true, and it plays/sounds great... you'd be hearing a ric... just not seeing one :(

...good thing i'm not a lefty!

Awww, c'mon. Whoever did it spent their own money on it. I try not to look at it like someone destroyed a piece of art, that they should feel responsible to maintain for everyone else's pleasure. More like someone "customized" their bass, because it was theirs. Everyone else can buy their own to do with what they choose.

Don't buy it. No big deal.

Ive never had a Ric, seen a Ric in person or anything. To be honest they aren't bad looking but I HATE the pickguards on them..*shutter*....I am mildly curious about them as I have heard they feel a lot like a guitar???

Anyway, if I was GASing and had the money and that wasnt a lefty, a beat to hell Ric like that is about the only way Id ever get a shot at one. Thats not saying I don't mind the damage its got...it looks like it was teased with a chainsaw IMO or dangled over a wood chipper a few times. Thats pretty sad what was done to it if you ask me. :( Looks more abuse than road use..unless it was dragged on the road or someone tried to hack a hole on the stage floor with it....

I grow organic carrots and they are not for sale
    I love it ...

More people should do that to Rickenbackers ...

So many Rickenbacker owners put them in cases and don't touch them ...

    ZERO Bids.

I own a Ric and granted, to each his own as to what you do with your own ax but it is hard to view when you have an affinity towards that particular brand of bass.
