MXR Blue Box Mods done

The Blue box is a real cool pedal, but there are some problems, one of them is a volume drop when engaged that's toggle one (top)
The other is a 1 oct down instead of two (2nd toggle) (actually i'm still working on it...the info i've found was wrong) If playing a guitar a 2 oct drop is fine but on a bass it's stupid (in my opinion) so i want to make it a pedal that can be used on bass, a bass synth, or guitar.

the white LED is for playing "Blinded by the Light"...
yeah...lesson learned...i just changed it to a nice blue.
On the B:ASSMASTER we wanted a super bright white LED, because it shines through lexan (giving it a nice "streamlined" look) well that dulls it to normal so having this LED without a cover to tone it down HURT!

OH, now it makes sense, i didn't realize what that was...yeah, green seems as though it'll burn too. Every time i read one of your posts i want to shamelessly promote my pedal...the Melvins have not one, not two but THREE B:ASSMASTERs (if you count Big Business as part of the Melvins...cause they have two)
Once you get that Blue Box mod worked out, i'd be interesting having mine "fixed" as well... i've seen others do the volume mod, but the 1oct mod is brilliant! my guitar player if becoming too fond of my Blue Box, and i'd love to actually be able to use it my bass rig. 
there was a posted 1 oct drop mod listed here on the board (untested) it is NOT correct. BUT i think i have it figured out. I had to order another 4013 from Mouser today because i killed mine (hehe

you may now consider the B:ASSMASTER shamelessly promoted.
and yeah, that LED is bright. i've actually covered it with a piece of sticker. that way it's not so... overwhelmingly destructive.
and BIG BUSINESS rules almost as much as MELVINS. almost. they make for a great combo, though.

That is strange, because the mod idea comes from Mark Hammer, and everyone who tested the mod on DIYstompbox said it worked. My apologies for posting something that is incorrect, though
