Here's a post on 'The Gear Page' from a guy that bought a Metro 20 with a hard case and changed the stock feet to 1" rubber feet to fit a T-rex Chameleon underneath the board as well as placing 2 pedals on the back/3rd rail on risers.
He says the board fits inside the hard case perfectly - the lid closes, even with the higher feet and rear risers, though it is a little snug.

Im not sure yet, but that wall wart may be a deal breaker and a HUGE disappointment for me in the end. Its possible that the wall wart will fit underneath my board, if it does, awesome. If not though, I will be sorely sore and disappointed that MXR didnt use a regular type power plug for this like Voodoo does. I mean, maybe it wasnt possible due to the internal things going on in the ISO brick or maybe its because of the size.

Idk what it is about MXR, I actually am a big fan of theirs and I think they do some really awesome stuff. But for whatever reason, they always, and I mean almost always, seem to fall short with me. If its not a wall wart its the actual chinciness of the build quality. Ive had more issues with shoddy components with MXR than I ever have with say EHX. Which isnt to say its happened a lot. But it was enough.

I can see how the wall-wart would be a dealbreaker for some. It won't be for me. I have to imagine it wasn't a willy-nilly decision, and the main unit would be larger if it used an IEC cable. I dunno.

The wall warts do bother me a bit. I will still buy some later in September. The real problem however, honestly, is how crappy pedaltrain boards are. Let's be honest, It's like these boards are made to fit 10 pedals on a PT-Pro. I have 4 Decibel 11 PSUs under my PT-Pro and it is a crazy mess. I need two under my PT-2, and it is equally a mess. The feet are too short, there are too few beams that are too big, which makes fitting many pedals too hard. Their new sizes with less depth are a step behind.

If the Pedaltrains were built better, it would not be an issue to fit these wall warts or any PSU. Sorry to be blunt about this, but Pedaltrain sucks at innovation and their board designs are crazy out-dated. All these PSU pains are in big part because of them.

I'm so disappointed about the wall wart. I have loved using my power pedal 2 because it takes the same power cable as all my amps. So I can have 1 backup cable for all. But, my PowerPedal 2 is having issues corroding every cable I put in it so looks like I'm going with the wall wart iso brick.

The wall wart isn't ideal, but as it stands now I run a Boss type power extension lead taped to the guitar lead that goes back to my amp and plug a one spot in where I power my amp from, as I prefer to not have mains power at the front of the stage incase of wayward drinks from punters. So realistically I would be doing the same thing with the 18v wallwart for the ISO Brick.

This is my main reason for interest in the ISO Brick - to power my G50 and MS-60B fully isolated with no noise. Currently I need to run a separate 1 spot for the 60B. My other reason is to power a TH DI if I am using that.

I strongly recommend saving your $$ for a G50 over the G30. Huge step up in quality IMO.

PP2+: 4 X 9/12v 100mA, 2 X 9v 250mA, 2 X 4-9v 100mA - total 1100mA
ISO: 2 X 9v 100mA, 2 x 9v 300mA, 2 X 9v 450mA, 2 X 6-15v 100mA, 2 X 18v 250mA - total 1900mA at 9v, 500mA at 18v

So the differences are, you get 500mA 18v, 800mA extra at 9v and more flexibility in the saggy outputs.
But, you have a wall wart and a slightly less ergonomic form factor.
Also the PP2+ gives you more potential 12v outputs.
Price is comparable.

Is that about right? Are there other differences?

The ISO-bricks are fully isolated. I do not think the PP2+s are (but could certainly be wrong)

Wall wart fits into a mounted power strip on the bottom of a PT-2, so wall wart is not a big deal for me. The build quality on the actual bricks seems really sturdy. It is thick machined aluminum that I can comfortably stand a couple of hundred pounds on without fear of bending or breaking. Everything also seems to function as it is supposed too. Way to early to judge on reliability though.
