MXR M288 Bass Octave Deluxe - blue lights don't work

My MXR Octave Deluxe is relatively new - at a gig a couple nights ago, the lights didn't turn on, both the main pedal switch and the mids boost. The pedal works - the effect is fine, but the lights don't go on, so I can't tell on stage if the pedal is on or not.

Anyone else have this issue? Anyone know what it might be? I've never had this happen with any pedal before.

Thanks!

I remember reading about this issue with this pedal here not that long ago, but can't find it with the search function. Probably was a post inside a thread, instead of a dedicated thread.

I remember the discussion going around pedal powering. I had this issue with phantom powering a DI from a console and found out the console's phantom power was enough to make the pedal work, but not enough to light it up.

Sounds a bit basic, but could that be your problem ?

EDIT: of course, there's always the "defective unit" possibility.

Interesting - perhaps the battery is running low? Not using phantom power, just a plain ol' 9V battery.

It's the only pedal I used at the moment, so it's not in a chain. I'm going to try with the AC adapter and see if that changes anything.

I appreciate the responses.
