My Back Hurts!

View attachment 1189450 Not sure on terminologies, its for electrical stimulation. Quite portable, same size as a carbon copy... my eyebrows are out of control, maybe if I turn it up high enough...

That sounds like TENS. Transdermal Electro Neural Stimulation. Doctors got me on pins treatment and it is a huge help.

Having own that very same I concur with a previous post! Try that first.. Bergs, LDS, Mesa, in fact a lot of manufactures are making some really lightweight 410's out there..
Fwiw, I've owned a LDS 410 cab for the past 10 years plus and at 50 lbs with removable casters has made a world of difference!
Good luck.

200 watt GK MB115 combo amp (~35lbs). 200 watt GK MBP 115 powered extension (~30lbs). 400 watts total. Hits like a truck. and I can carry both - one in each hand - in one trip.
I have two mesa 410s and all sorts of heavy tube amps that never leave the house any more.

Yup, was just making a joke too, it's a no-no to put the electrodes on temples or over the heart. I just have the wife stick 'em on my back where the muscles are knotted from spasm and turn up the juice until they dance.
I just did the acupuncture needles with electric stim- really great!

So, I'm 60, been playing for 45 years, been playing out at least once a month for all of that time....

I've had the Ampeg refrigerators, Acoustic 301 and 370, and a Peavey 2x10/18 cabinet back when I was strong enough to lift them.

Today I use a G&K MB212 - it's a 500 honest watt combo with 2x12" drivers, and weights about 35 lbs. If you need more than that, you should be playing through FOH, in my opinion.

Anyway, I roll into a gig with that G&K, and my 7.2 lb sadowsky NYC 5 string, and my super thick memory foam Gibson $100 guitar strap, and I'm a happy puppy on my way out...

I still have a number of those older, heavier cabinets including an Edens 410, which I have to agree sounds awesome, but which I'm not willing to lug around anymore, so it sits in the basement for rehearsals.

I love my current rig/setup, because I'm in and out in 1 trip, and my back is always happy.

+ 1. G-K puts out very, very nice lightweight combos, or heads and lightweight cabinets that are incredibly loud for their size.

To the OP, I'd personally mount your Eden head in a separate rack case by itself, and look into the numerous lightweight 2-12" cabinets that are available today. For maximum volume, I'd look at buying a pair of them. If you're going to look into a combo amp, the G-K MB212 that Rob mentioned is killer.

First step ...remove Eden from rack....maybe buy a shoulder bag to carry it in and remove to play...no heavy rack bag

I switched my XLT 410 for an Epifani UL410S2 and have an S1.....but Bergantino would be good also

I also switched my WT800 for a Markbass SA450 and have LMII .and a Mesa D-800 ...you might want to keep the WT800

Quilter BB800 ton of power that hits, easy to dial in tone and you may not have to. Genzler 123 cabs, the Quilter cabs are to be good but never tried them. I am sure there are bunch more as mentioned by others. Epifani cabs. I did try a Traynor 210 recently and it kicked ass.

You won't find a small, light amp with the EQ versatility that the Eden amps have, they just don't have the real estate on the face of them to accommodate all those knobs.
I was reading right here on TB that the Darkglass amps are pretty versatile, but I have not had the pleasure to try one myself.

The Mesa D-800+ has two semi-para mid bands (in addition to shelving bass and treble), an adjustable HPF, and a very usable voicing control. I'd call it versatile!

It's small and light enough to be convenient, IMHO.
