MY BEAT BUDDY IS HERE!

International people have indeed been getting theirs. Canada was in its own separate group, but I don't remember hearing much about it. I think it's worth an e-mail.

Dagnabbit!

I was all excited about programming songs for the BB using garageband on my ipad. I spent about an hour working on my first beat, got all excited as I was going to start saving beats for when the software came out... and then realized I can't export midi files from garageband. Anyone know how to do this? Could have sworn I did it in the past either using audiobus, or Hokusai, but I can't seem to figure out how to do it again :/. Anyone know how to do this? I also have Cubasis. Just need to know how to somehow get midi beats out of garageband.

My own Google search came up kind of inconclusive. People seem to be convinced there is a way to do it, but there's no obvious HERE IS HOW YOU DO IT link.

Same experience here. Better I learned this sooner than later. I'm going to start using cubasis to program beats - pretty sure you can export midi from there, but will check first this time. If not, I'll probably drop $20 on beatmaker 2.

I've got a silly non related question... can you somehow sell apps? I bought Auria a while back and never use it. It cost me like $75 with the add ons and all. I'd love to trade that in somehow for something I'll actually use.

Ok, did you guys try it with a drummer track? If you are using a GarageBand Drummer track, you need to copy that track and paste it into a new software instrument track to convert it to midi:

Then, to export it to a midi file:

Those of you that have received you BB, did you get the Bonus CD with your order for the early adapter group? I got my BB and Foot switch but did not receive the CD. I emailed [email protected] and got a response that they would ship it out with apologies. I'm just curious if and how many also had this happen. How is the CD?

So I finally got to try my BeatBuddy and it makes this weird hissing sound when activated and doesn't go away till you power off the unit. I've talked to David about this and it's going back on Monday to get looked over. Just FYI and curious if anyone has experienced this issue; tried the original power supply and two others (9V - 500mA).

I was trying to do some recording and got some noise which I suspect is from the interaction of the Beat Buddy and my Boss GT-10B. However, my regular chain (no GT-10B, no USB cable) doesn't have any more or less hiss than normal.

So the. BeatBuddy is fine apparently it had to do with the power strip at our practice space. Brought it home and it works great!
