Wow, that's awesome. Glad to hear you got them back. I'd probably have left some empty cases there and camped out... (moving targets are such fun...)

BASS IS FOUND!!!! I want to thank all of the TB'ers here who gave words of encouragement and offered to keep a look out, this is what makes me glad/proud to be a part of this online community. Again thanks to all.
Apparently the robbers planned on making another trip back to the house to get the stuff they could'nt carry on the first trip, so they put all the instruments on the back patio, probably so they could just come through the alley and grab them. One of the officers who was checking the perimiter actually found them neatly packed in the corner, THANK GOD!!! The police here wont dust for fingerprints in robberies any more so we're going to have to hire a private agency to do it, but for me, it will be worth the money spent. I cant say how it touched me to read three pages of support today as I had to wait until I got to work(home computers stolen). Thank you TalkBass.
Early this morning my house was broken into, the robbers took EVERYTHING of value, computers, tv's, appliences excercise equippment and my basses. My beloved Bee Bass 7 string whom many here have seen in another thread is gone, I am at tears as I am left with 1 instrument, my practice amps are gone. I am asking ALL TB members to be watchful and I will find a way to post pics of the Bee shortly, until then, here is a description:
Bee Bass 7
ash body
birdseye top
birdseye fingerboard

COOL!!
Get a Rottweiler!!
Since you're getting a PI involved, keep us posted on the progress (if you can). It would be interesting to see what kind of idiot does such things, and what happpens to said idiot, especially when they're caught with the goods.

Glad you got your bass back. On a side note why hire private detectives, you got a feeling it was someone you know? Planning into taking stuff into your own hands...
Peaceful citizens become mobs everyday here home, middle class down neighborhoods, they kill thieves, and torture rapist among other things. If they dont get the criminals police kill them point blank and dont even bother make arrests, theyre encouraged to DEAL with crime. This kind of stuff dehumanizes all of us, hell I shouldnt even get accustomed to it but I am by reading it in the paper and seeing it. Three weeks back a haitian raped a 4 year old. Well about 100 burned houses followed for no reason. And while pawn hunting i saw 3 15 16 yr olds stone a haitian to death almost and I just stood there watching for my safety, and the other ppl cheered on. This stuff dehumanizes... This isnt exactly political but mods delete my thread if necessary but my friend IM happy you have your stuff... a little piece of you dies when a sentimental piece is stolen or lost...
Take the high road my friend, just some advice... your souls worth more.
Giving my best wishes from across the pond.
