(scale of 1-10)
Sound : 10
I play a variety of music and the this bass suits them all. The mix of the Audere 3 band and the Nordy Big Splits is excellent. Preamp tonal variety aside, it can be both very punchy and very smooth depending on how I attack the strings. When digging in the mids get a very nice growl to them without being too harsh. The overtones are incredible, they ring clear bottom to top.

The best way I have heard to describe the sound is dry, unadulterated. It’s pretty flat, no mid-hump bump. There’s nothing but pure bass goodness. I can dial in almost any sound I want, but I like it set almost flat with a little bump at 800HZ and the Z-mode on Med or Low.

The B is wonderful. Not floppy, and it has lots of push behind it.

I can’t find anything that I don’t like about the sound.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
This bass is very tight. When I got it I had to put a little curve back in the neck, raise the action a touch and lower the pick-ups, it was a little to light and tight for me. But, now that it’s set-up just to my specs (which Will would’ve done for me, but I told him to set it up how he wanted it) it plays like a dream. Fast neck, smooth transition from the neck to body.

The finish is great too. I know Will is a newbie on the finishing process, but I think it looks and feels great. It adds depth to the color of the wood without taking any woodiness away. The Wenge/Ash/Maple is a killer combo and the scratchplate and inlays came out looking better than I ever imagined.

The frets are very even and edged nicely. The zero fret is very welcomed, open string sound awesome, and the action is very even across the board.

The neck is a comfy neck. I never had to get used to it, it fit me instantly.

The electronics are immaculate and solidly connected and secured.

The only complaint I have is the finish is a little too noticeable on the back of the neck. I love the feel of raw wood, and the satin finish, while it is very nice, smooth and fast, doesn’t feel like raw wood. But, what should I expect, it does have a finish on it. That being said, it really doesn’t bother me that much, in fact the more I play, the less it matters and the less I notice.

Over all the bass looks and plays better that lots of much more expensive basses I’ve played.

Will is the best. Very responsive and knowledgeable. I haven’t had to call for any service, but throughout the construction process he was great.
