I love the Meatball as well but sold it many moons ago and got the FTelettronica clone instead. I'll be comparing it to the PX101 once I have the PX in my hands; hopefully next week. The FT is extremely versatile so I don't expect the PX to beat it in every department. I sold my XD so I'm looking forward to having 4-pole in my arsenal again. AND, I hope the slow sweep on the PX can get in that wide-ranging XD territory. The FT can't do that since it is bound by the 4-position range toggle. The only other filter I've had that has a super wide sweep is the Agent 00Funk, which I grabbed from the Jounalist.
They probably couldn't fit a lamington in there ...
Yep Tim tams are pretty aussie I guess… “the Tim tam slam” of dunking them in your tea or coffee haha.

Having had a very good experience with PastFX so far, I will consider buying from them in the future, so there might be more TimTams incoming.

The PastFX Chorus Ensemble is based on the BOSS CE-1 from the 70's and this is the preamp section with added master volume to ride solo, without chorus/vibrato.
This kinda screams "Magic tone sweetener" at me, but I have never had any experience with the CE-1.
I mailed PastFX, asking about this - does anyone here have first hand experience with the original?

@el murdoque I thought the Bass Blaster wasn't up for consideration? IIRC, it was aesthetic reasons (with which I don't entirely disagree). I suppose the itch just needs scratching?
It has come up too many times.
For some reason I thought FTT was a French company. Now I found out they hail from Japan and that gives the design a different weight - if that makes any sense. It does not have to for you, but it has made a difference for me and changed my gut feeling enough to pull the trigger should one run across my path for an acceptable price.
Definitely interesting to note, but it doesn't change anything for me. Not because I find the aesthetics
(although I don't find the BB particularly snazzy, I would never discount a pedal simply for its looks), mostly because I have no room for a drive pedal that large on either of my boards. It's gonna be quite a hunt, it seems. Currently, I can only find a single unit for sale - which is located in Indonesia and a bit too rich for my blood.
These arrived from local Publix today.
Tim Tam and Lion were great! Violet Crumble was weird but good. Turkish Delight was weird and trash.
To keep thread on point, the VMT Deluxe is the ultimate drive pedal. Has the Sheehan Ultimate Drive been tried? It’s killer.
Lion is readily available in Germany, the others not. I will make a note of trying Violet Crumble should I get the chance.
Is the VMT Deluxe voiced differently than ... essentially all the other DG stuff?
I can't bring myself to like their tone. Its geared towards sharp and aggressive with that upper mids/lower treble bite.
I've run across several Sheehan pedals, but never pulled any triggers. You mean the blue EBS unit?
I've owned all 3 of the Sheehan pedals. I still have the orange deluxe version. Such an awesome pedal. It is modelled on the distortion and tone of the coveted Pearce BC1 preamp.
I really like the overdrive tone, but it does have a specific nasal high mid tone that imparts itself on your tone.

Violet crumble is my go to chocolate bar here… I love it versus the competition the crunchie. Crunchie has a “airy” honeycomb, violet crumble honey comb is just yummy.
I don't know about your personal necks of the woods, but in my market, they recently introduced some highly addictive substance called Smash.
I think they modeled it after the end of an icecream cone - those that have a bit of chocolate in them. Imagine going to the super market, buying a bunch of ice creams, then cutting off the tips of the cones, and then covering these in chocolate. Well, they did take that and took it one further by making a chocolate bar from it, with the addition of salty caramel. I recommend trying this one as long as they are around - I'm pretty sure there's something in the Geneva Convention that forbids the use of these.

VMT Deluxe you need early model with ERA control. It has some of that DG in it, but it has preamp eq control and the Era more counterclockwise is a bit different voice.
Never tried the blue EBS Sheehan. The purple and orange were great. The purple doesn’t have phase shift and could be problematic for some.
Phase shift is a useful feature, especially if you want to stack pedals.
